Whew, I’m slowly unwinding from all that I have taken in this week, there is so much to remeber. Show and Tell was great, I love to see the different ideas everyone comes up with. The group presentations were informative and just gave a glimps of many possibilities, I could see using pod-casting for commercials and much more. I was in the Graphic Novels group and after researching I realized I had with these before. so really wasn’t new to me.
Wow what a busy day! Found Poems, Triadic Stories. How I got there. I really liked the found poems idea, it has so many possibilities. I wrote mine using Artist Quotes from my art text book. Great job Sherly. The Triadic story was really neat, Michele did an amazing job on hers, I would really like to explore this more, learn more about it and try my hand at it. The poster maker was interesting. I’m curious what the cost per poster averages out to be, seems like it would take a lot of printer ink, I wonder if it would really save any money or if it’s just one of those things that would be a neat toy to have. Starting to feel a bit less overwhelmed. as I slowly begin to finish things up, I don’t feel like I have enough time to give everything my best.
Today Lisa went over movie maker, I’ve played with the program some, seems pretty straight forward. I would like to become much more familiar with the process so I can run it with ease. I could definitely use this in my classroom. for claymation movies. movies over specific artist or art time periods. Also could have students do movies on processes, mixing clay, mixing colors. Video of wheel throwing. the options are endless.
I also did some research on Graphic novels, I have worked some with graphic novels however never on the computer. As an art teacher I want my kids to draw there characters. But if I had the proper equipment like Graphic Tablets. This would be great for my students as a tech. project. I need so much more time to play with all of these ideas.
I am very skeptical about blogging, perhaps it’s just my lack of education on blogs. I really need to be sold on the safety of blogging, I’m not comfortable putting much information out on the internet. I realize that supposedly only certain people can have access to these blogs, but there are always those people who are excellent at getting places they shouldn’t be. I am going to be open minded and try this and hopefully I can find it to be useful. I truly am excited about trying this . I cannot say that I would be comfortable using this until I become much more familiar with the process.
